Pretty in Pink

Admit it. No matter how hard you try to do a nail art design, or paint your nails, you completely and utterly fail and make your nails a big brown blob. While looking at all of these amazing people who can successfully recreate Van Gogh's "Starry Night" on their nails, you may feel like you are unsuccessful with creating designs on your nails. My first piece of advice to you is not to worry. I've got you covered. Today, I am going to be showing you how to create a cute flower on your nails, that is simple, yet adds the look of "Hey! I just went to the salon and got my nails done!" Trust me, if I can do it, anybody can do it.

Click read more if you're a cool person! ;)
Here's what you are going to need:
•A white nail polish: OPI's Alpine Snow
•A light pink color: CND's Vinylux nail polish in Cake Pop
•A black nail polish: CQ's Night
•A small dotting tool

Everything you need to complete this manicure is above!

The first thing you are going to do is paint your nails two coats of the light pink color of your choice. You may be terrible at painting your nails, but that's alright, because we are in the same boat. One hand looks amazing, and the other hand looks like I stuck my nails through a blender. If it does look like that, it's okay, because in the end, nail polish remover will always be your best friend when it comes to your nails.

If you're like me, you can watch "Keeping up with the Kardashians" on Netflix, or just jam out to the newest tunes while painting your nails. Who doesn't love a good drama every once in a while? Once you've painted your nails two coats of the light pink color, you are going to take your dotting tool, and dip it into the black polish.

You are then going to dot it into five circles in the corner of your nail, making it the shape of a flower. Complete it by adding dots around it, with a white dot in the middle.

Above, I am finishing off the flower with dots around it.

Once you have finished this, you are going to add a top coat, which will protect your nails from chipping. You may have made some mistakes, which is why the final step is taking some nail polish remover on a Q-tip, and taking off the polish from around your nails. This will give your nails the look of getting them done, because when you go the nail salon, you never leave with nail polish surrounding your nails.

Make sure to clean up around your nails!

Once you've completed this step, you are done with your nails! You're left with a cute design, which is surely going to get you a few compliments. These nails are simple, yet they can add a little "oomph" to any outfit. You can do the design to all of your nails, but I personally think it looks cute as an accent nail, because it draws your attention to that one nail.

The flower is cute, yet isn't too overwhelming!

I'll talk to you guys next week! Be sure to follow me to get more Naomi. :)
